Join us for an intimate group, Christmas foliage forage at The Grange and return to the winery to craft garlands and enjoy our wines.
Wander through private gardens and tracks on the historic Grange Estate guided by Hortus Poeticus, the expert, celebrated floral studio. On the walk you will be shown what to collect and given knowing insight into what works best in creating abundant and rich Christmas displays. Then jump in the trailer and be taken over to the winery where Hortus will share their knowledge in creating beautiful garlands and The Grange will pour some wines to accompany and share stories of how they came to be.
Leave with a stunning garland crafted by yours truly under the tutelage of Hortus Poeticus and perhaps purchase a bottle or two of wine to adorn your Christmas tables from the Cellar Door!
Thursday Lates will be operating from 5pm, so if you fancy staying for a bite to eat from one of Hampshire's best food vans and another glass of wine, feel free to join.
Tasting Notes
- Arrive at The Grange winery for 12:30pm
- A glass of CLASSIC NV and some delicious snacks
- Board the trailer and set off to the lake on The Grange Estate
- A guided forage around the lake and across private quarters of The Grange Estate including the Walled Garden at Lakehouse
- Hortus Poeticus will share their creative and knowledgable arts in selecting the perfect foliage to take back to the winery
- Take the trailer back to the winery with festive foliage abounding and stories from the Estate
- Be treated to a tasting of The Grange wines in the tank room on long tables
- Hortus Poeticus Garland Workshop. Learn how to weave beautiful and abundant festive garlands to decorate your home.
- Hortus Poeticus will provide additional decorative florals, ribbons and foliage
- Finish around 4:30pm and take home your exquisite garland
You can also purchase wine and gifts from The Grange Cellar Door shop and stay into the evening where we will have one of our much-loved Thursday Lates - music, wine bar, food vans and general good times.
Tickets are £210 per person and you must be 18+ to purchase.
