Description
The Grange STILL PINK 2022 is made from entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown in our regenerative trial block where the undervine strip has not been mown for 4 years. The grass has competed very heavily with the vines and this has led to a reduction in yield from this block, which, not surprisingly, then produced grapes that were higher in sugars, lower in acidity and, most importantly, delicious tasting.
Once de-stemmed, the berries were left in the press for 4 hours until the free-run juice was just the right pale pink colour. Once pressed the juice was fermented at quite low temperatures allowing the fruit-laden grace of the Pinot Noir to express itself. This delicious, approachable wine has a texture and length not often seen in still English wine.
Tasting Notes
Pale pink in colour, with macerated berries, ripe stone fruits and heady summer flowers on the nose. A soft and juicy palate (reminiscent of biting into a perfectly ripe peach) is balanced by a refreshing acidity that pairs the wine perfectly with many summer dishes. It's a simple but sumptuous reflection of a select parcel of Pinot Noir taken from Burges Field and should be enjoyed this summer.

"Lovely fresh and vibrant, with delicate aromatics and flavours of rose and strawberry. A textured palate, with refreshing super-bright acidity and a balanced finish. One to watch."
